Workers Compensation

Stephen McGrady has focused his legal practice on the defense of Indiana worker’s compensation claims since 2017. Stephen has represented the interests of employers, insurers, and third-party administrators throughout all stages of worker’s compensation matters, including investigation, compensability opinion, litigation, and settlement.

Matthew Hobson is an associate attorney in Kightlinger & Gray’s Indianapolis office, concentrating his practice in worker’s compensation. Matthew comes to Kightlinger & Gray with significant experience in worker’s compensation defense. He also has previously practiced in commercial and insurance defense litigation, appeals, and corporate tax matters.

Libby Valos Moss focuses her practice on the defense of employers in administrative proceedings, as well as litigation and counseling. She regularly represents employers before the Indiana Worker’s Compensation Board, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Indiana Civil Rights Commission, as well as in state and federal courts. Libby has authored a number of appeals on workers’ compensation matters before the Indiana Court of Appeals and Indiana Supreme Court.

Kristen Carroll is a senior partner in the Indianapolis office of Kightlinger & Gray. Her practice focuses on representing employers before the Indiana Worker’s Compensation Board. She regularly counsels employers and adjusters on the proper handling of worker’s compensation claims within the Indiana Worker’s Compensation Act, often assisting early in the investigation and claims management process.

John Halstead is an attorney in the Merrillville (northern Indiana) Kightlinger & Gray office with over 20 years’ experience representing insurance companies and their insureds in automobile, homeowner’s, and commercial liability claims, as well as self-insured businesses in premise liability and worker’s compensation defense. John also represents title companies and their insureds in title insurance and escrow claims, and local contractors in mechanic’s lien and construction litigation.

Jake Zigenfus earned his undergraduate degree at Indiana University in 2018, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He then enrolled at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, where he graduated with his Juris Doctorate in 2021. Upon graduation, Jake was honored with the Norman Lefstein Award of Excellence, recognizing students who worked the most pro-bono hours while in school, with Jake being inside the top 10% of this classification.

Aubrey Kuchar Noltemeyer focuses her law practice on the defense of businesses in employment-related litigation. Her expertise is in the concentration of litigation before the Indiana Worker’s Compensation Board. Aubrey assists employers in worker’s compensation disputes including compensability decisions, investigations and all aspects of litigation from discovery and through trial.

Allyson Delgado is an attorney in Kightlinger & Gray’s Merrillville, Indiana office. She joined Kightlinger & Gray in 2024 with civil litigation experience in, but not limited to the areas of construction, transportation, insurance coverage litigation and employment.
