Nicholas W. Levi

Nick is a partner in the Kightlinger & Gray Indianapolis office with a diverse litigation practice. Throughout his career, Nick has handled a broad spectrum of civil tort litigation, with particular emphasis on Professional Liability, Construction Litigation, Creditor’s Rights, and Privacy/Data Security. He has experience working with attorneys, accountants, collection agencies, debt buyers, and insurance companies in the defense of all manner of tort and statutory claims. Nick currently chairs the Kightlinger & Gray Professional Liability Practice Group, focusing upon the defense of lawyers, accountants, architects, and engineers.

In addition, he is active in the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals (ACA International) and has significant consumer law defense and litigation experience, including both individual and class action claims involving the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). He routinely advises clients on the protection of personal health information and has experience defending clients in claims alleging privacy breaches, including class action claims following data breaches.

Nick is a member of the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana, the Indianapolis Bar Association, and is a fellow with the Indianapolis Bar Foundation. Nick is a member of several legal and professional organizations, including Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana (DTCI), and the Indianapolis Bar Association. From 2017 – 2020 Nick was selected as a Super Lawyer by the Indiana Super Lawyers Magazine. Previously, from 2009 through 2016, he was selected for inclusion on that publication’s Rising Stars list.
