Mike Brown uses his many years of experience and rich background to assist clients in protecting their legal interests. Practicing law for over 40 years, his practice focuses on Corporate and Business Litigation, Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith, and Professional Liability cases involving accountants, attorneys, insurance agents, and other professionals. Mike is also a Registered Civil Mediator. Mike received a master of business administration concurrently with his juris doctorate. He served as a law clerk to a federal judge and served on the firm’s Management Committee for nearly 20 years. Due to his extensive interaction with other attorneys, both locally and nationally, Mike has been recognized by his peers with several legal awards, including being named a Diplomat of the Indiana Defense Trial Counsel in 2009, being selected for inclusion on the Super Lawyers list published in Indiana Super Lawyers Magazine every year since 2004, and being selected inclusion in the 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 editions of The Best Lawyers in America® in the area of Legal Malpractice Law.
Mike has become an active member and leader in several organizations related to his practice. For over 40 years, Mike has been active with the TIPS section of the American Bar Association, allowing him to learn, educate, and interact with other lawyers who offer insight into emerging trends in a variety of legal jurisdictions. He is also a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel which he chaired the professional liability roundtable 2012-2013 , and has served as the chairman of the Professional Liability Committee.
