Van Willis assists business owners with all of their legal needs, from a simple contract review to a complex litigation matter that is tried before a jury. He has over 35 years of experience practicing law in Indiana and Kentucky. He routinely appears before the Indiana Workers’ Compensation Board, the Indiana Unemployment Board, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), in addition to handling matters in State and Federal courts.
Van received a business administration degree from the University of Kentucky before attending law school there. Prior to joining Kightlinger & Gray, LLP, Van held a judicial clerkship for a federal judge. Van works with a wide-range of business owners through his involvement on the Board of Directors of Hope Southern Indiana. Vans experience with business ranges from local businesses to international businesses. He currently serves as Chair of the firm’s Business Practice and Estate Practice Group which provides legal services to businesses of all sizes across the Midwest, and was appointed in 2015 as a part-time United States Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of Indiana.
