Omar F. Ghani, Attorney

Omar Ghani joined Kightlinger & Gray’s Indianapolis office as an attorney in 2024 bringing with him 6 years of extensive trial litigation experience. His current practice is focused on defending the interests of businesses and organizations within Indiana Workers’ Compensation matters. Within his current practice, Omar, while focusing on the best line of defense for his clients, conducts thorough fact investigation, develops sound and anticipatory litigation strategy, as well as advises and collaborates with his clients throughout each phase of the workers’ compensation claim and litigation.

Prior to joining Kightlinger & Gray, Omar led a Major Felony Team at the Marion County Public Defender Agency. During his time with the Public Defender’s Office, Omar excelled at managing a high-volume case load with complex legal issues. Omar assisted numerous clients in avoiding serving decades, if not centuries, in prison through effective case resolution. Omar prepared a large number of cases for trial and was the first chair litigating attorney for many of the cases that made it through to trial.

While in law school, Omar served as the Executive Director for the Council on American-Islamic Relations as a Voluntary Executive Director collaborating with interfaith and local communities to attain justice for victims of racially charged harassment. Additionally, he was a writer and Articles Editor for the Kentucky Journal of Equine, Agricultural and Natural Resources Law.

Omar’s professional and volunteer experience have assisted in his development of maintaining analytical, composed thinking in high-pressured, sensitive environments resulting in positive outcomes for his clients.
