Lori Sherman is an attorney based in Kightlinger & Gray’s Evansville office. Lori, whose diverse litigation practice includes disputes related to auto accidents, fires, premises liability and worker’s compensation, joined the firm after several years in public service.
Lori previously served as a staff attorney for the Indiana Department of Child Services, where she litigated cases related to child abuse and neglect. She also served as a part-time investigator for the Human Relations Commission, conducting interviews and reviewing evidence in cases of alleged employment discrimination.
Lori earned her J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where she participated in moot court and mock trial, the inmate legal assistance project, the disability law clinic, the National Black Law Students Association and the Evansville College Advisory Council. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Bennett College for Women, where she was a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society and volunteered in a variety of campus activities. Lori has also been selected for inclusion on the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list published in Indiana Super Lawyers Magazine for 2018.
