For more than a decade, Ken has helped employers navigate through challenging legal and risk management issues.  From the rigors of litigation through day-to-day counseling, Ken has achieved pragmatic results for his clients whether inside the courtroom or working to avoid it.  Focusing his practice on employment and worker’s compensation law, Ken represents employers before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Indiana Civil Rights Commission, Indiana Worker’s Compensation Board, and state and federal courts.  He advises employers on a wide-range of employment matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, labor, and wage and hour.  He also counsels employers and adjusters on the proper handling of worker’s compensation claims.  Licensed in Indiana and Ohio, Ken also has substantial experience before the Ohio Civil Rights Commission, Ohio Industrial Commission, and Ohio state and federal courts.  He has spoken and written extensively on employment and worker’s compensation matters.

Prior to joining Kightlinger & Gray, Ken worked in Regulatory Affairs and Law, Policy and Governance at the NCAA, supporting the Committees on Infractions for several years.  He has intimate knowledge of the enforcement process and how the committees adjudicate infractions cases, and developed the legislation and procedures that established the independent and negotiated resolution processes.  Ken is able to represent and counsel institutions, coaches and student-athletes on NCAA enforcement, eligibility, compliance and other regulatory matters.
