Joey K. Wright, Attorney

Joey Wright is an associate attorney in the Indianapolis office of Kightlinger and Gray, LLP, where she focuses her practice in the areas of employment law, municipal liability, and civil rights matters.

Prior to joining K&G, Joey gained a wealth of knowledge and experience practicing civil litigation throughout central Indiana. She has practical experience in the areas of business and real estate litigation and transactional matters, as well as estate planning and litigation.

Joey obtained her J.D. at the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. During her law school career, she was a note candidate for the Indiana Health Law Review, Vice-President of the Student Bar Association, co-chair of the Women’s Caucus, and a member of the Dean’s Tutorial Society. She was also selected as an Elite 50 award recipient during her 3L year. Joey graduated from McKinney in 2017 cum laude.

Joey serves as an executive board member for the Young Lawyers Division of the Indianapolis Bar Association. She is also part of the Bar Leader Series Class XX and a subcommittee member of the Indy Bar’s Practical Skills Workgroup. Further, Joey has been recognized as an Indiana Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2022 and 2023.

Outside the practice of law, Joey enjoys giving back to her local community. In doing so, she serves as the chair of the Board of Directors for the Damar Charter Academy, a school for children with developmental, behavioral and/or intellectual disabilities. She is also a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana.

At home, Joey enjoys spending time with her husband, Dwayne, chasing her wild toddler, and hanging out with her four-legged friend.
