Kightlinger & Gray Attorney J. Todd Spurgeon Advances as President-Elect of Indiana State Bar Association

J. Todd Spurgeon, New Albany, advanced to the office of president-elect of the Indiana State Bar Association (ISBA) for 2017-18 at the Association’s annual meeting in Indianapolis. His term will expire in October 2018, after which he will become president of the ISBA. As president, he will represent the single largest legal organization in the state.

Spurgeon is a partner at the firm Kightlinger & Gray in its New Albany office. He is a member of the Floyd County, Indiana State (member, board of governors, 2012-14; chair, Young Lawyers Section, 2008-09; member of various other committees) and American (member, house of delegates, 2005-08, 2015-present; member, Litigation Section) bar associations. He is also a member of the Defense Research Institute, Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana and the Sherman Minton American Inn of Court. In his community, he is active with the Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana (board of directors) and the New Albany Lions Club. Spurgeon received his A.B. from Wabash College in 1996 and his J.D. from I.U. Mauer School of Law in 1999.
