Taylor is an Attorney in the firm’s Indianapolis office. Her practice presently focuses on general civil litigation within the insurance defense industry, including auto, trucking and transportation, premises liability, underinsured motorists’ claims, and wrongful death. Additionally, Taylor has experience litigating Professional Liability matters, particularly claims arising out of alleged legal malpractice and violations of the Fair Debt Act. Further, she is well-versed in Dram Shop liability and subrogation claims.
Taylor has had a successful litigation career engaging in numerous bench and jury trials in the state courts of Indiana. Further, always advocating hard for her clients, she has effectively prepared and argued winning directed verdicts and motions for summary judgment, resulting in favorable outcomes for her clients.
Prior to joining Kightlinger & Gray, LLP, Taylor managed a large caseload and first-chaired a number of bench and jury trials as a Deputy Public Defender at the Indiana State Public Defender’s Office and the Marion County Public Defender’s Office. Her time spent honing her litigation skills as a Public Defender has contributed to Taylor’s ability to utilize resources effectively and have a deeper understanding of the bench in Indiana state courts.
Taylor is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association. She is a volunteer with the Hamilton County Humane Society, wherein she works with the dogs who have been identified as having behavior issues. Her volunteer work is rewarding and has even led to welcoming some of her prior “students” into her family at home.
